The manufacturing blog that focuses on quality, agriculture, family, and teamwork.

About the Blog

The name, Scratching the Surface, was chosen to honor our founder James 'Scratch' Olson. Here we'll tell Scratch's story and the stories of the men and women who forged this company into what it is today.

There's a lot of hard work and dedication that goes into building a company like Hy-Capacity, and there are many memories made along the way. To celebrate 40 years in business, we decided to create a platform to tell our stories. We hope that this blog will help you get to know us and perhaps teach you a few things along the way.

ABOUT Hy-Capacity

Hy-Capacity was founded in 1978 as a remanufacturer of agricultural clutches, water pumps, and torque amplifiers. Over the years, Hy-Capacity has expanded the product lines to include new items such as seats and cab kits, radiators, air conditioning, front-end, filters, lights and many other parts for a wide variety of agricultural equipment.
